IODE 116th National Annual Meeting, Toronto, ON - 26-27 May 2016
Photos from NAM 2016 are now posted here for you to enjoy.
In the first phase of this campaign, we have developed marketing materials suitable for all IODE chapters across Canada. The design of each piece includes the National website address as the point of contact for those interested in learning more about IODE. All inquiries generated through this campaign will be received by IODE Canada Head Office and promptly re-directed to the appropriate local chapter.
The campaign has been designed such that all marketing materials can be customized to some degree for Provincial, Municipal and Primary IODE Chapters. Customization would include contact information, website address and variations in the images used in the design to more closely reflect the focus of the chapter activities. Images may be selected from the IODE Image Library by contacting the National Communications & Public Relations Officer.
The campaign was officially launched at the National Annual Meeting 2015 in St. John's, NL Members are invited to preview the campaign now online by clicking on the poster image above.

IODE Canada is a national women's charitable organization. Women of all ages, from all walks of life and educational backgrounds, meet in local chapters for fun, friendship and community volunteerism.
Members volunteer with and for people, focusing on children, education and community services. Each IODE chapter has the independence to choose and support projects in their own community. If you have just a few hours to spare monthly, you can make a difference and form lifelong friendships.
IODE membership is many things to many people. It is this diversification that holds the interest of the members and attracts others to it. What other organization has so much to offer to so many and in such different age groups?
The main benefit of belonging to IODE is being part of a like-minded group of women who work together to improve the quality of life for those in need.

IODE Announces New Literacy Project in Honour of Princess Charlotte of Cambridge
IODE chapters can order the finished bookplates from IODE Canada at $1 per sheet, plus postage. Please contact IODE Canada to order.
Literacy is an important aspect of many programs currently in place with primary chapters and something that is of the utmost importance to the future success of all children.
There was a great response to the Royal Baby Literacy project undertaken by chapters in 2013-2014, for which chapters donated books in honour of Prince George in their communities. A special bookplate was designed and inserted in the books donated throughout the country.
Here is your chance to get involved in a similar project in honour of Princess Charlotte. Collect books at your next primary, municipal or provincial chapter meeting to distribute in your community. Consider donating these books to a community shelter, public library, school library or where you feel the books can be used. How about your adopted school or a local school that you have a rapport with already? You can help to build up the children’s library in your community. It’s up to you where you direct the books.
All chapters large and small, at any level, can participate in this book drive. The project will commence now and continue throughout 2016
A special bookplate has been developed for the books and will be available at a nominal charge by mail. This is a great public relations tool to advertise IODE in different communities and permanently promote IODE at your local library.
Keep a record of the number and value of the books that have been donated and forward this information to Head Office. The final tally will be included in the 2016 Annual Report. We look forward to hearing the results of your involvement in this literacy project.
